GZ Series Vibrating Feeder

The GZ Series Vibrating Feeder provides uniform, controlled feeding of material to crushers, grinding mills, and other processing equipment. Using electromagnetic or electromechanical vibration, the feeder delivers material at a precisely adjustable rate, ensuring consistent equipment loading and optimal production efficiency. A built-in grizzly screen section can pre-screen fines before the crusher, improving throughput and reducing crusher wear. LIMING's vibrating feeders are built for continuous duty in demanding mineral processing environments, with wear-resistant trough liners and robust drive systems.

Working Principle

Material is loaded into the feeder trough from a hopper or bin. The trough vibrates at a controlled frequency and amplitude, moving material forward in small hops along the trough surface. The feed rate is controlled by adjusting vibration amplitude or frequency. A grizzly bar section at the discharge end can screen out fines, allowing only oversized material to enter the crusher while fines bypass directly to the conveyor.

The grinding process is precisely controlled by the integrated classification system, which separates qualified fine powder from coarse particles. Coarse particles fall back to the grinding chamber for regrinding, while fine powder is conveyed by airflow to the cyclone collector and then to the finished product silo. This closed-circuit design ensures consistent product quality and high grinding efficiency.

Key Features & Advantages

Uniform Feeding

Controlled vibration delivers material at a consistent, adjustable rate, preventing equipment overload and underfeed conditions.

Grizzly Pre-Screening

Optional grizzly bar section screens out fines, reducing crusher load and wear while bypassing fines directly to the conveyor.

🛡

Adjustable Feed Rate

Feed rate is continuously adjustable from near-zero to maximum, providing precise control over production line capacity.

🏆

Wear-Resistant Trough

Hardened steel or wear-plate trough liners resist abrasion from sharp, hard mineral feed materials.

🔥

Low Power Consumption

Electromagnetic or small unbalanced motor drives consume minimal power relative to the material throughput.

Performance & Efficiency

The GZ Series Vibrating Feeder is designed for maximum grinding efficiency and energy savings. The optimized grinding chamber geometry, combined with high-precision classification, ensures that energy is used effectively for particle size reduction rather than wasted on over-grinding or heat generation. Compared to conventional milling systems, our equipment typically achieves 20-30% lower power consumption per ton of finished powder.

Key performance metrics include stable fineness control with deviation less than 5%, low noise levels below 75 dB at 1 meter distance, and dust emissions below 20 mg/m3 when equipped with our pulse bag filter system. These performance characteristics make our equipment suitable for even the most demanding industrial environments and stringent environmental regulations.

Installation & Commissioning

Proper installation is critical for optimal equipment performance and longevity. Our experienced engineers provide on-site installation and commissioning services, including equipment positioning, alignment, electrical connection, piping installation, and system integration. The typical installation timeline ranges from 15 to 45 days depending on equipment model and production line complexity.

During commissioning, we conduct comprehensive performance tests including no-load test, load test, and production trial runs. We verify all performance parameters meet design specifications, calibrate control systems, train your operators on proper operation and maintenance procedures, and deliver a complete commissioning report with all test data.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of grizzly pre-screening?

The grizzly bars screen out fine material (already smaller than the crusher setting) before it enters the crusher. This reduces crusher load, increases throughput, and reduces wear. Fines bypass directly to the conveyor, improving overall plant efficiency.

How is feed rate adjusted?

For electromagnetic feeders, the amplitude (and thus feed rate) is continuously adjustable by changing the thyristor-controlled voltage. For motor-driven feeders, feed rate is adjusted by changing the unbalanced weight angle or using a variable-frequency drive.
