Pulse Jet Bag Filter (Dust Collector)
The Pulse Jet Bag Filter is an essential environmental control device for grinding mills, crushers, and powder production lines. Using reverse-pulse-jet cleaning of fabric filter bags, this dust collector captures over 99.9% of airborne particulate matter, ensuring clean exhaust air and compliance with environmental regulations. LIMING's bag filters feature high-quality PTFE or polyester needle felt bags, electronic pulse timing control, and modular design for easy capacity expansion. The collected dust can be returned to the production process, improving product yield while protecting worker health and the environment.
Working Principle
Dust-laden air enters the filter housing and passes through fabric filter bags. Dust particles are captured on the outer surface of the bags while clean air passes through the fabric and exits via the clean air plenum. As dust accumulates on the bags, a pressure differential builds. At a preset pressure or time interval, electronic pulse valves release short bursts of compressed air into each bag in sequence. The sudden pulse expands the bag, dislodging accumulated dust which falls into the collection hopper below. The cleaning is performed online without interrupting filtration.
The grinding process is precisely controlled by the integrated classification system, which separates qualified fine powder from coarse particles. Coarse particles fall back to the grinding chamber for regrinding, while fine powder is conveyed by airflow to the cyclone collector and then to the finished product silo. This closed-circuit design ensures consistent product quality and high grinding efficiency.

Performance & Efficiency
The Pulse Jet Bag Filter (Dust Collector) is designed for maximum grinding efficiency and energy savings. The optimized grinding chamber geometry, combined with high-precision classification, ensures that energy is used effectively for particle size reduction rather than wasted on over-grinding or heat generation. Compared to conventional milling systems, our equipment typically achieves 20-30% lower power consumption per ton of finished powder.
Key performance metrics include stable fineness control with deviation less than 5%, low noise levels below 75 dB at 1 meter distance, and dust emissions below 20 mg/m3 when equipped with our pulse bag filter system. These performance characteristics make our equipment suitable for even the most demanding industrial environments and stringent environmental regulations.
Installation & Commissioning
Proper installation is critical for optimal equipment performance and longevity. Our experienced engineers provide on-site installation and commissioning services, including equipment positioning, alignment, electrical connection, piping installation, and system integration. The typical installation timeline ranges from 15 to 45 days depending on equipment model and production line complexity.
During commissioning, we conduct comprehensive performance tests including no-load test, load test, and production trial runs. We verify all performance parameters meet design specifications, calibrate control systems, train your operators on proper operation and maintenance procedures, and deliver a complete commissioning report with all test data.
Frequently Asked Questions
Bag life depends on dust characteristics, temperature, and cleaning frequency. For normal mineral dust at ambient temperature, expect 2-3 years. For abrasive or high-temperature dusts, 1-2 years. We offer bags in different materials (polyester, PTFE, Nomex) for specific applications.
Typical air-to-cloth ratios are 0.8-1.2 m/min for mineral dust. Lower ratios (0.6-0.8) are used for fine or sticky dusts. Higher ratios (1.2-1.5) are possible for coarse, free-flowing dust. We size the filter based on your specific dust characteristics and air volume.
Yes, with appropriate bag material. Polyester bags handle up to 130°C, Nomex up to 200°C, PTFE up to 250°C. For higher temperatures, dilution air or cooling is required before the filter.
