R Series Enhanced Roller Grinding Mill
The R Series Enhanced Roller Grinding Mill is LIMING's upgraded evolution of the classic Raymond mill, incorporating structural improvements that deliver higher throughput, better fineness stability, and reduced maintenance requirements. The R mill processes materials to 80-400 mesh fineness with capacities from 1 to 45 tons per hour, making it an economical choice for producers of agricultural fertilizers, animal feed supplements, construction putty, drilling fluid powders, and general industrial fillers. Its reinforced grinding assembly, optimized classifier design, and improved air circulation system combine to deliver reliable performance at a competitive price point.
Working Principle
The R mill retains the fundamental roller-ring grinding principle of Raymond mills but features a reinforced grinding assembly with larger-diameter rollers and ring, a more powerful main drive, and an improved built-in classifier. Material is fed through a side inlet and distributed onto the grinding ring. Rollers rotating around the ring compress and grind the material. Ground powder is conveyed by airflow to the classifier, where rotating blades separate qualified powder from coarse particles. The enhanced design provides more uniform grinding pressure distribution and better airflow management, resulting in improved capacity and product consistency compared to standard Raymond mills.
The grinding process is precisely controlled by the integrated classification system, which separates qualified fine powder from coarse particles. Coarse particles fall back to the grinding chamber for regrinding, while fine powder is conveyed by airflow to the cyclone collector and then to the finished product silo. This closed-circuit design ensures consistent product quality and high grinding efficiency.
Key Features & Advantages
Reinforced Grinding Assembly
Larger-diameter rollers and ring with optimized contact geometry deliver higher grinding capacity and longer component life than standard Raymond designs.
Improved Classifier Design
Redesigned analyzer with adjustable blade angle and speed provides more precise fineness control and tighter particle distribution.
Optimized Airflow System
Enhanced air circulation reduces internal pressure losses, improving powder conveying efficiency and reducing blower energy consumption.
Economical Investment
The R mill offers excellent price-to-performance ratio for medium-fine powder production, making it accessible for growing businesses and new market entrants.
Broad Material Compatibility
Processes calcium carbonate, dolomite, bentonite, talc, chalk, limestone, petroleum coke, gypsum, and glass cullet with consistent results.

Performance & Efficiency
The R Series Enhanced Roller Grinding Mill is designed for maximum grinding efficiency and energy savings. The optimized grinding chamber geometry, combined with high-precision classification, ensures that energy is used effectively for particle size reduction rather than wasted on over-grinding or heat generation. Compared to conventional milling systems, our equipment typically achieves 20-30% lower power consumption per ton of finished powder.
Key performance metrics include stable fineness control with deviation less than 5%, low noise levels below 75 dB at 1 meter distance, and dust emissions below 20 mg/m3 when equipped with our pulse bag filter system. These performance characteristics make our equipment suitable for even the most demanding industrial environments and stringent environmental regulations.
Installation & Commissioning
Proper installation is critical for optimal equipment performance and longevity. Our experienced engineers provide on-site installation and commissioning services, including equipment positioning, alignment, electrical connection, piping installation, and system integration. The typical installation timeline ranges from 15 to 45 days depending on equipment model and production line complexity.
During commissioning, we conduct comprehensive performance tests including no-load test, load test, and production trial runs. We verify all performance parameters meet design specifications, calibrate control systems, train your operators on proper operation and maintenance procedures, and deliver a complete commissioning report with all test data.
