Morocco holds over 70% of the world's phosphate rock reserves. A fertilizer producer in Khouribga required a grinding facility to produce 100 mesh phosphate powder for SSP (single superphosphate) and TSP (triple superphosphate) fertilizer production.

Equipment Selection

A ball mill was selected for primary grinding to 80-100 mesh at 25 t/h, followed by an HGM90L ultrafine mill for 150-200 mesh at 6 t/h for DCP (dicalcium phosphate) feed grade. The two-stage approach served both fertilizer and animal feed supplement markets.

Production Data

The ball mill achieved 26 t/h at 100 mesh for SSP production. The HGM90L produced 6.5 t/h at 200 mesh for DCP. Phosphate solubility in citric acid exceeded 95%, ensuring fertilizer bioavailability. The dual-production strategy allowed the client to serve both the large-volume fertilizer market and the higher-value animal feed market.
