This case study presents a detailed account of a real-world grinding mill installation project by LIMING, including project background, equipment selection rationale, installation process, commissioning results, and ongoing operational performance. The information is based on actual project data and customer feedback, providing valuable reference for similar projects.
Project Description
A dolomite processor in Isfahan, Iran, required a grinding plant to serve the Iranian steel industry (refractory dolomite) and glass industry. The target product was 200 mesh for refractory and 800 mesh for glass batch.
Equipment Configuration
The HGM90L ultrafine mill was configured with dual output settings. A classifier speed adjustment allowed switching between 200 mesh (8 t/h) and 800 mesh (4 t/h) within 30 minutes. The dual-mode operation provided production flexibility for market demand changes.
Operational Performance
At 200 mesh, the dolomite powder met refractory specifications with 98% CaMg(CO3)2 content. At 800 mesh, the powder met glass batch specifications for MgO content. The ability to switch between grades allowed the client to optimize production based on market demand, maximizing capacity utilization and revenue.
